MyDose is an offline-first medication reminder and health tracker application designed to help users organize their medical schedules, track inventories, and log daily wellness assessments.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and safeguard it, and how you can exercise your data rights—including exporting your entire log history or permanently deleting your account.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in two main categories to deliver secure device-to-device cloud synchronization:

A. Personal & Account Registration Data:

  • Identity Data: Name, Email Address, and optional Gravatar/Google profile picture.
  • Credential Keys: Password hashes cryptographically salted using bcrypt (we never store plain-text passwords).
  • Google Sign-In Keys: Verified Google ID tokens and identifiers when using Google Auth.

B. Patient Health & Medication Data (Sensitive Data):

  • Medication Parameters: Name, type (Tablet, Capsule, Syrup, Other), dosage strength, quantity, start/end schedules, inventory levels, low stock alert flags, and medication image paths.
  • Medication Compliance Logs: Timestamped logs marked as Taken, Missed, or Snoozed, along with any optional intake comments.
  • Symptom Journal Entries: 5-point well-being assessments (Great to Bad), tracked symptoms (Headache, Fever, Nausea, etc.), and custom text notes.
  • Patient Demographics: Basic user preferences (gender, age group) used solely to calculate dosing schedules.

3. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal and sensitive health data strictly for the following purposes:

  • Local Scheduling & Alarms: Storing medicines and logs locally to trigger hardware-level reminder alarms.
  • Secure Cloud Synchronization: Translating offline logs to secure Neon PostgreSQL databases via bidirectional delta-sync protocols.
  • Account Security: Rotating JWT sessions, authenticating identities, and verifying access authorization.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Fulfilling requests for data export or account erasure.

We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal or health data to advertisers, brokers, pharmaceutical companies, or third parties under any circumstances.

4. Encryption & Security Standards

To protect your sensitive records, MyDose employs robust industry-grade security measures:

  • Encryption in Transit: All communications between the mobile application and our API routes are forced over TLS 1.3 (HTTPS).
  • Session Tokens: High-security JWT authentication. Short-lived Access Tokens (15 min) and rotating Refresh Tokens (30 days) are utilized to safeguard connections.
  • Secure Serverless Cloud: All database processes run on Neon Serverless PostgreSQL with SSL connection parameters forced.

5. Google Play Data Safety Alignment

MyDose declares its data operations clearly to satisfy Google Play listing criteria:

  • Data Collection: We collect and link User Accounts and Health Records to your secure account.
  • Data Encryption: All data is transmitted securely using standard HTTPS protocols.
  • Data Deletion Request: A simplified, fully functional system is provided to immediately initiate permanent account deletion.

6. Your Data Rights (Export & Deletion)

You maintain total authority over your records. You can exercise these rights instantly:

A. Export All Records

Retrieve a single, uncompressed, organized JSON packet containing your complete clinical schedules and history instantly inside the mobile app or via our server routes.

B. Permanent Deletion

Delete your account permanently from our servers. This erases medicines, dose compliance history, journals, and preferences completely.

7. Children's Privacy

MyDose is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions within the EEA). We do not knowingly compile or harvest personal info from minors. If you discover a child has established an account without parental consent, please contact us immediately to purge the record.

8. Changes & Contact Information

We may periodically revise this Privacy Policy to align with new legal mandates or platform improvements. When changes occur, the effective date will be modified.
